Junior Sunday 9 Holes


The 9 Hole Competition is designed to to provide the opportunity for keen young golfers to improve their golf skills and knowledge of rules & etiquette.
 
Dates of the event will vary however we will try to get it going every twice a month or fortnightly.
 
The competition will be available to juniors who pass a basic playing skills test, and a rules & etiquette written test.
 
Peter will conduct the playing tests during weekly clinics. Written tests will be available for download.
 
Information & Format
 
To play in the event juniors must be enrolled in the Junior Program either in clinics or private coaching.

The event is limited to 12 children. We will take special care to make sure all juniors who are eligible get a chance to participate.
 
The field will be made up of 4 groups of 3 players.

An electric buggy will be supplied for the parents or guardians to caddy for the children marking score cards, helping to rake bunkers etc. All players must have a parent or guardian to drive the buggy.

The competition will be a Stableford event. All information regarding this form of competition will be explained before you tee off on the day.

All children will receive a handicap following their first event.
 
 
Dress Guidelines
Neat Golfing attire should be worn at all times.
  • Golf shoes with soft spikes or runners.
  • All shirts should have a collar.
  • Neat shorts or slacks. No denim!
  • Clothing carrying emblazoned advertising, t-shirts, denim jeans, and board shorts should not be worn.
Registration
All players must report to the pro shop no later than 2pm.
The starter will call groups to the tee at 2:30pm.

Cost
$25.00 per player payable at proshop during registration.
 
 
Email Bookings
As mentioned above all qualifying juniors will have a chance to play in the Sunday competitions.
  • The first 12 parents to email during the week (Monday to Friday) prior to that Sunday's competition will secure entry.
  • In the event the field is full, first option for the following week will be given.
  • There will be no advance bookings.
