Spike's offers modern Australian cuisine that draws on different ethnic and eastern flavours as well as good solid Australian Tucker. The new menu features an emphasis on fresh, local products, and changes often to reflect seasonal variations. Spike's Executive Chef - Phil Manning - offers a selection of salads - a Traditional Caesar Salad, Chicken Caesar Salad and mouth watering chicken Japanese Golden Curry vie for a place on the plate of those diners wanting something hinting of the Orient. There is a range of tasty open sandwiches and a special menu for children. There is also Daily Black Board Specials at Spike's and a tempting range of desserts.  Our Executive Chef Phil Manning calls his style modern Australian, but uses a variety of ethnic as well as eastern inluences to provide delicious dishes which, if not quite out of left field, are not strictly by the recipe book. It is to his credit that the ingredients blend well together, offering textures and flavours that put Spike's well above the level of a usual golf club restaurant.  |
