Our Professionals

Peter Cote - Head Professional
AAA PGA Accredited

Originally from Montreal Canada, Peter began his coaching career in 1987 working with Club Med resorts in Tunisia, Spain, France and Bali. Duties included conducting golf clinics on the full swing, short game, golf demonstrations and the organisation of golf excursions to local golf clubs. In his final year working for Club Med Peter was made Director of Golf in Bali gaining experience in golf management through the training of golf instructors, organising lesson schedules, tournaments, golf demonstrations, and golf course modification at the resort.

In 1989 Peter relocated to Brisbane serving for thirteen years at Aspley Pin High Golf Club. There he conducted beginner to advanced clinics, junior classes, private coaching and pioneered the use of computer swing analysis in Brisbane.

In April 2002 Peter was appointed Head Golf Professional at Links Hope Island, rated Australia's No.1 Resort Golf Club. As of 2009 the Links Golf Academy has grown to be one of the largest coaching centres on the Gold Coast with junior golf at it's core, with 75 children currently enrolled. Developing junior golfers to achieve their potential in golf is Peter's strength.

Peter has a "AAA" ranking by the Australian PGA. Also in January 2000 Peter attained Level VI Accreditation in the category of Golf Coaching (professional) by the PGA Professional Development Program, in association with The Australian Coaching Council.

Technology has played a key role at the academy with Peter developing an online coaching website. Students can go online (Swing Mate) to view, compare and receive swing written evaluations and video tips. "The use of digital video for super clear frame by frame pictures and the ability to compare swings has made it much easier to understand the golf swing".

Kevin Healey - PGA Professional

Originally from Banbury, England, Kevin Healey turned professional in 1992 combining playing and coaching until 1997. Having made the decision to become a full time coach in 1998 Kevin moved to Royal St Georges in Kent working alongside Phillip Sparks a respected coach and entrepreneur who Kevin to this day rates as one of the biggest influences in his career.

In 1999 Kevin moved to Nicklaus/Flick Golf Schools in Gravesend near London. He generated a position which eventually saw 70-80 lessons being booked weekly creating new coaching programs for the school.

Kevin immigrated to Australia in 2000 spending 6 years as a senior coach with the Gary Edwin Golf Academy at the Glades on the Gold Coast. Very early on Kevin assisted Gary with professionals like Peter Lonard, Peter Senior, and Rod Pampling, but as time went on he developed his own client base and stable of players.

Kevin currently coaches several professionals including Andrew Bonhomme who was the Order of Merit winner in 2007 and is currently playing on the Nationwide Tour in the US.

In 2007 Kevin joined Peter Cote to bring a wealth of experience and knowledge at the elite level of coaching.
