TRANCHE TWO & THREE NOW AVAILABLE

Links Hope Island has been rushed with applications and enquiries since it released the first tranche of 200 private memberships last month with all 200 sold out in a record two weeks. Already in excess of 900 applications for the prospectus have been received and more than 50 deposits have been taken for individual memberships in the second and third tranches.

Links Hope Island owner, L2 Capital’s executive chairman, John Thomas, said the result was ‘very encouraging’ and provided a strong reassurance from the Hope
Island community in the golf club and its future. “We have priced the memberships at a level which we believe is more than fair and also takes into account the current turbulent economic conditions and I think it is fair to say that the tremendous response we have received indicates we have got it right,” he said. “It is also a massive vote of confidence in the club by the members.”

Initially 200 transferable equity shares or memberships in the club were made

available to existing members. A further three tranches will be released with total

memberships pegged at 990. Six hundred will be available through the first prospectus.

The second tranche of 200 membership shares will be offered to residents of Hope

Island Resort and social members at a price of $30,000. The third and fourth tranches

of 100 membership shares each will be offered to the general public at prices of

$35,000 and $40,000. They are expected to sell quickly. “The privatisation of Links Hope Island has generated considerable interest and we expect that the limited number of memberships or shares in the following tranches will be highly sought after,” Mr Thomas said.

Mr Thomas said in addition to the pure property value provided in the offering, Links Hope Island was also operating as a very successful business with strong food and beverage sales, a full schedule of events and functions and a booming wedding

reception market
