A par five with plenty of action and strategy. There are 9 bunkers protecting the length of the hole, the first pair being an inspiration from the Principal’s Nose at St Andrew’s. The second guards the left side and is certainly reachable for many. Long hitters may consider attacking the green from a good drive but for others it is advisable to proceed down the left side and ignore the green until you get within close range. The bunkers short of the green are designed to cause trouble for the audacious.
