His teaching philosophy revolves around creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment and by focusing on the four facets of the game, Technical, Tactical, Mental and Physical to be able to help players achieve their golfing goals. ‘I believe that fostering a love for the game is just as important as honing technical skills’.
By incorporating fun and engaging teaching methods, David strives to inspire and motivate his students to achieve their full potential and says that “whilst it is important to understand the technical aspect and dynamics of the game it is the ability to break this down into easy to understand components that makes a great coach”
David has a long association with the game of golf and is a member of The Royal Melbourne Golf Club and The Barwon Heads Golf Club. He played college golf in California and has since played and competed extensively with legends of the game on some of the world’s greatest golf courses including Royal Lytham St Anne’s, Royal Birkdale, Pine Valley, Merrion Golf Club and Augusta National, home of the Masters.
Being a strong and insightful player with a world of experience has given David an intuitive approach to teaching the secrets of golf. Now making his home at the famous Links Hope Island Golf Course he is available for private and group lessons and ready to help take your game to the next level.
